About Us

"Empowering Resident's, Driving Accountability."

At Day 14, we believe that every renter deserves more than just a place to live—they deserve to be heard, respected, and treated fairly.

Our mission is to empower renters by serving as a trusted communication and advocacy partner, specializing in professional engagement with property management companies on behalf of residents. Through effective communication, documentation, education, and accountability-driven advocacy, we help renters navigate housing-related challenges while promoting transparency, professionalism, and fair treatment throughout their rental experience.

Founded by a Property Management & Real Estate professional with more than 13 years of dual-industry experience, Day 14 was created after witnessing a recurring problem within the Property Management industry and more specifically, within multi-family housing: residents often struggle to have their concerns acknowledged efficiently, while property management companies frequently operate with limited accountability and inconsistent communication.

Whether dealing with delayed maintenance requests, unexplained charges, security deposit disputes, lease concerns, or legal notices, renters are often left feeling frustrated, unheard, and uncertain about their next steps.

Day 14 exists to change that

We act as a bridge between renters and property management companies, helping residents communicate effectively, document concerns properly, and pursue fair resolutions. By leveraging extensive industry knowledge and professional communication strategies, we ensure that resident concerns are presented clearly, supported by documentation, and followed through with persistence and professionalism.

Our work extends beyond simply resolving disputes. We strive to educate renters about their rights and responsibilities, empower them to make informed decisions, and provide access to resources that strengthen their ability to advocate for themselves. At the same time, we encourage property management companies to uphold professional standards, honor their obligations, and maintain accountability to the residents they serve.

We believe that communication is one of the most powerful tools for creating positive outcomes. Many housing-related conflicts escalate not because solutions are unavailable, but because communication breaks down, expectations are unclear, or concerns are not addressed in a timely and transparent manner. Through proactive advocacy, mediation, and constructive engagement, we work to resolve issues before they become larger disputes that threaten housing stability, financial security, or quality of life.

As a nonprofit organization, Day 14 is committed to creating a rental housing environment where residents have access to knowledgeable support, where housing providers are held accountable to professional standards, and where every renter has a voice in matters that affect their home and well-being.

Our vision is a future where renters  feel empowered when facing housing challenges, where communication between residents and housing providers is professional, stern, transparent and effective, and where accountability, ethics, fairness, and respect become the standard—not the exception.

Through advocacy, education, communication, and accountability, Day 14 works every day to ensure that renters are not navigating housing challenges alone. We stand beside residents, amplify their voices, and help create pathways toward fair resolutions, stronger communities, and a more equitable rental housing experience for all.

Our Commitment

We are committed to:

  • Giving renters a professional voice when communicating with property management companies.

  • Promoting accountability, transparency, and fairness within the rental housing industry.

  • Educating residents about their rights, responsibilities, and available resources.

  • Supporting housing stability through effective communication and dispute resolution.

  • Encouraging professional standards that benefit both residents and housing providers.

  • Creating stronger communities through advocacy, education, and collaboration.

Day 14 exists for one simple reason:

when renters are heard, communities are stronger, housing outcomes improve, and accountability becomes the standard.

What We Help With

Legal Notice Review & Guidance

Receiving a notice from your landlord or property management company can be stressful and confusing. We help you understand what the notice means, explain important deadlines and requirements, identify potential concerns, and provide guidance on the next steps. When appropriate, we can also help you determine when seeking legal counsel may be beneficial.

Repair Request Advocacy

When maintenance issues are ignored, delayed, or inadequately addressed, we help tenants document concerns and facilitate professional communication with property management. Our goal is to support timely repairs and help maintain safe, habitable living conditions.

Rental Balance Reviews

Unexpected charges, fees, or account discrepancies can create unnecessary stress. We review rental ledgers, verify charges and credits, identify potential errors, and help tenants better understand and address account concerns.

Security Deposit Reconciliation

We assist tenants with reviewing security deposit deductions, itemized statements, supporting documentation, and move-out charges. Our goal is to promote transparency and help ensure deposit reconciliations are handled fairly and accurately.

Move-In Inspections

A thorough move-in inspection creates a documented record of the property's condition at the start of the tenancy. We provide detailed observations and photographic documentation to help protect tenants from being held responsible for pre-existing damages or conditions.

Move-Out Inspections

Before a tenant vacates a property, we conduct a comprehensive move-out inspection to document the condition of the unit and identify potential concerns that could impact the security deposit. This service helps tenants prepare for move-out and maintain accurate records of the property's condition.

3-Month Tenant Support Program

Our 3-Month Tenant Support Program provides ongoing assistance during the critical early stages of tenancy. We help monitor maintenance concerns, document property issues, support landlord communications, and ensure tenants have the resources and documentation needed to protect their interests.

6-Month Tenant Support Program

Our 6-Month Tenant Support Program offers continued advocacy and support throughout the tenancy. Services may include repair request follow-up, documentation management, rental account reviews, property condition monitoring, and guidance regarding landlord-tenant communications.

12-Month Tenant Protection Program

Our 12-Month Tenant Protection Program provides year-round support and advocacy. This comprehensive service includes ongoing documentation assistance, repair request advocacy, rental account monitoring, property condition reviews, move-in and move-out support, and guidance throughout the lease term. The program is designed to help tenants stay organized, informed, and prepared for lease renewals, inspections, disputes, and other tenancy-related concerns.
